Since 2006, Chianti in Musica has organised courses in flute, oboe, clarinet, violin, viola, cello, guitar, piano, chamber music with piano, and vocal chamber music. With a constant focus on ensemble music, the formation of chamber groups is fostered every year.
After the COVID emergency, which forced us to cancel the 2020 edition and devote the next two seasons exclusively to the Piano and Chamber Music Masterclasses, this year, we are finally back with all our courses.

APPLICATION
The courses will be held from 30 July to 4 August 2023 (arrival in San Donato in Poggio on 29 July, departure on 5 August). To enrol, please download the Chianti in Musica 2023 Application Form, fill it in, and send it to segreteria@chiantinmusica.it by the 9th of June 2023.
Deadline for applications: June 9, 2023.
Active students: € 350
The fee includes:
- membership of Chianti in Musica ETS, worth Euro 20.00, compulsory for participation in the course;
- a daily individual lesson that the other students on the course are invited to attend;
- ensemble music lessons with the other students of their instrument course and with the students of the other instruments;
- participation in concerts, in agreement with the teacher;
- use of study rooms;
- certificate of attendance.
Auditor students: 100€
The fee includes:
- membership of Chianti in Musica ETS, worth Euro 20.00, compulsory for participation in the course;
- certificate of attendance.
The Palazzo Malaspina, in the central square of the village of San Donato in Poggio, hosts the courses' lessons. The students' late afternoon concerts will be held outdoors, in front of the splendid Porta Fiorentina.
The application fee for Chianti in Musica 2023 does not include accommodation in San Donato
ACCOMMODATION
Chianti in Musica reserves some flats for course participants at reduced prices. Please, contact us to select the accommodation solution that best suits your needs. Our secretariat will show you the available options and give you all the information about your accommodation in Chianti (the approximate cost for the whole week is 180/350 € per person).

BY TRAIN
Da Firenze: Upon prior written agreement with the Chianti in Musica secretariat (segreteria@chiantinmusica.it), a personalised car transfer can be organised from the Esselunga Galluzzo supermarket to San Donato in Poggio. To get to the meeting place: from the Firenze Santa Maria Novella station, it is necessary to take the No. 36 or No. 37 urban bus of the Autolinee Toscane (Orti Oricellari stop, 400 m from the station) and get off after 15 stops at Le Romite, opposite the supermarket. There you will find the car with the Chianti in Music attendant.
Tim, Vodafone, and WindTre customers can purchase a city bus ticket by sending an SMS to No. 4880105 with "FIRENZE" written on it. They will receive an SMS with the start time and the link to the Autolinee Toscane digital ticket, which contains the Qr code for verification: it is valid from 2 minutes after purchase, so it is advisable to purchase it before boarding and wait for the confirmation SMS that will be your ticket.
Alternatively, you can buy Autolinee Toscane tickets via app by downloading the free TABNET app or the new At bus app on your mobile phone. Both are available for Android, iPhone iOs and Huawei smartphones, costing € 1.50.

BY CAR
Exit A1 Impruneta. At the roundabout take the Firenze-Siena motorway and after about 20 km exit at San Donato in Poggio. From there turn right and follow the road signs for about 4 km.
BY FLIXBUS
1) Arrival in Florence Villa Costanza: Upon prior written agreement with the Chianti in Musica secretariat (segreteria@chiantinmusica.it), it is possible to organize a personalized car transfer from Villa Costanza to San Donato in Poggio.
2) Arrival in Florence Piazzale MontelungoThis square is right at the back of Florence Santa Maria Novella station, less than 1 km from the station square.
